• Sumidaya Sushi Grade Rice. Prepared by farmers in the “Old Style” using a +100-year-old rice polishing method. Each batch is blended by hand to achieve the “Golden Ratio” for rice to produce flavorful perfection. Carefully selecting different proportions from several different rice fields, these blend the differing flavors to create the sweet, tender,and complex taste experience that is Sumidaya. Imported in limited quantities annually,this rice is a favorite in regional Michelin class Omakase. Produced in Miyagi Prefecture,Japan. We highly recommend this rice be prepared with a traditional Japanese Donabe(Rice Pot).

This rarely seen "complete" Donabe comes with pot, lid, traditional heating base (for single use cooking fuel), and table trivet. Maruyama Nori was founded in 1854–at the end of the Edo period–in the Nihonbashi district of Tokyo. Harvested from the Saga prefecture’s intensely cold waters where it develops the fine flavor of this seaweed. The taste is both tenderly sweet and fresh at the same time, the product of early seasonal harvesting captures the superb young flavor. Cut to perfect hand roll sized sheets, Maruyama Nori brings excellent taste, texture, aroma,color to enrobe the most delicious omakase!
