The Beatrice Farm is located in Italy, 500 meters above sea level: an immense estate that reaches a terraced hill and a rocky part where there are over 3000 specimens of “Rotondelle” olive trees, with a history of over a hundred years.

Within Umbria, the green heart of Italy, Montecchio is a medieval village that boasts the title of City of Oil. Located on the hills of Valserana at 500 meters above sea level, the Beatrice Farm produces, in scrupulous compliance with the rules of organic farming, oil resulting from the typical Umbrian cultivars: Moraiolo, Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino.

The company produces everything strictly in a natural way, minimizing treatments with phytosanitary products. To protect plants, we prefer to exploit the power of ingredients found in nature, without introducing harmful organisms whose effects we do not know.

The olive groves of Agricola Beatrice cover an area of 20 hectares. There are 5500 plants of the Moraiolo, Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino cultivars. The harvest begins in mid-October, when Veraison begins (the olives change color) and ends by November.

The harvest is carried out by hand stripping and with facilitators. On the same day, the harvested olives are taken to the mill and pressed by cold extraction machinery.

The oil is immediately placed in stainless steel containers and stored under inert gas in a temperature-controlled environment. Presenting remarkably high in phenolic compounds and low values of free acidity and peroxide number, don’t let that distract you from the rich buttery goodness.
